Toxic Prices ACTION PLAN:
![]()
First, we need to recognize that we have a political oil problem, not a OIL supply problem.
We are not using "fossil fuels" - there is yet a vast supply of abiotic oil, right here within the USA, so WHY do we import a product we have so much of? We do not need to import so much as a single drop of oil sourced from outside our national borders.
The false Idea that we have reached the "other side" of (“peek-a-boo”) peak oil is total nonsense. It is what it always was, a marketing argument for ridiculously high prices. And a Big LIE!
We need a US Congress willing to SERVE We the people, once again. (SEE: ACTION LETTERS)
We need legislation to break the strangle hold oil companies have on refineries. TWO different functions, TWO DIFFERENT kinds of companies.
They need to be one or the other, but not both. AT&T was broken up, oil companies can be broken up too.
IMPORTANT: Those who produce oil need to be barred from owning, controlling and running refineries. We need a national goal to build new refineries. We need redundancy, not maintaining the current scarcity of refineries. This is a matter of shoring up our national security, and avoiding Nuclear Warfare over imported Middle East oil.
Those oil companies that continue the preposterous importation of oil need an incentive to STOP: 90 days to BEGIN pumping American Oil from American soil or they are forever barred from EVER pumping oil from American ground sources.
The US Congress can set up a brand new oil company, one that will and does pump oil from American Sources, with profit sharing checks going directly to those Americans on disability, or on Social Security.
We need protection from predatory pricing tactics: A FIXED floor price on every barrel of oil. Oil is profitable as low as $30.00 a barrel. We can set that amount as the lowest possible base price, and let the REAL market take it from there.
We need to clearly identify the sources of oil. We do this with every other product; we can and must do this with American sourced oil as opposed to foreign oil sources. Even President Bush has called for us to BREAK "our" foreign oil "addiction."
The gasoline & diesel pumps must read: "Oil Imported from the Middle East," (or elsewhere). And, "Oil Produced in USA"
We need a $30.00 tax levied on all imported oil. No imported oil gets sold or used here for less then $60.00 per barrel. A $10.00 per barrel tax can immediately be used to provide continued funding of Social Security and Medicare for the disabled and retirees. NO, we are NOT talking about a tax that would increase the price at the pump! NO! How so? Oil sourced from US Ground Reserves gets sold for no less then $30.00 per barrel.
When oil is IMPORTED, it must sell for no less then $60.00 PER BARREL. Current fuel station prices (up to $4 Bucks Plus per gallon) are based on $90.00 to over $120.00 per barrel, so new prices per gallon will range from $1.00 to $1.50 per gallon, EVEN WITH the $10.00 per barrel tax! Gasoline Prices will collapse and tax revenue goes up.
Social Security recipients get profit sharing checks instead of Social Security checks. THEY get an INCREASE in "income" resulting in a higher standard of living.
We CAN and we must and will pull out of any "Treaty" deal standing to frustrate the Will of the American people. We can and need to SOLVE our problems, not accommodate or continue to maintain them.
Nuclear Warfare out of the Middle East is hardly a sound environmental policy result. Results are the fruits we shall know them by.
Environmental groups need to be judged by the results they seek to impose. We need to know more and more about why does what they say seem to assure ridiculously high prices and profits for the oil companies.
JUST WHOSE side are they ON?! Is it not racist to say it is "okay" to take it out of Arab sources but not from our own? Huh?
(Were you aware that many well known and popular environmental groups accept funding from oil companies? Some were even created by the oil companies through oil company foundation grants. Yes, "By their fruits ye shall know them." And by who pays their bills.)
Okay, now that we had the rant, (above).....
WHAT precisely can we do?
Especially to bring about many of the solutions mentioned above? This is where we engage in brain storming. All ideas are on the table, but that does not automatically translate into endorsement. We need to be able to evaluate Ideas. Freely. Ideas have consequences. We need to determine by our actions, do we move forward to the consequences or results we are targeting? If not, what does it take to "tweak" it?
Write to your US Congressional Representatives, and to your Senators. We need to get them on record: Do they take money from oil companies? If they do, are they willing to instead of keeping such money, will they donate every cent of it to non-profit organizations? Are they willing to notify these oil company sources (of money) that the money will NO longer be determining who they serve, or how they cast votes? f you do not know who to write to, call your local library, and ask at the reference desk. They will be happy to assist you. ACTION LETTERS
If we cannot get such resonable responses from our reps, we move onto the next stage.
This takes a special kind of American. One who is totally disgusted by having their public servants REFUSING TO PROPERLY SERVE.
BEGIN BY FOLLOWING them to their homes. Follow them to their restaurants when they go out to eat. Follow them to theatres, everywhere they go, follow them. Take cameras, and audio recording devices. SEND us your results: submitnews@toxicprices.com Keep asking them are they willing to change their positions on keeping donations from the oil companies. Contact your Local Media outlets. We CAN shame them, whenever they indicate anything less then being fully supportive of our lawful concerns. We can POST the results you obtain here!
We also need to obtain ariel and ground photos of the homes the oil company executives live in, along with how much money they are being rewarded for greedily gouging and grouping through our pockets. We want to see their faces, know their names, and every thing there is to know about them. What have they to hide? Why? They are taking our money. It is hardly asking too much to know everything there is to know, right?
You can also PICKET local fuel stations. Make sure you include a visible and readable "ToxicPrices.com" on your signs! Notify local and area Media that you plan to picket. GET COVERED! Again, take your cameras and send your photos and videos in!
